Stuart began life working in finance departments of medium sized businesses, but soon realised he wanted to rise higher. Having studied at college for accountancy exams he quickly rose through the ranks to become accountant and then financial director.
After twenty years, he decided it was time for a change, retrained as a Sports Therapist, and opened his own clinic. Ten years and a pandemic later, he felt it was time to pick up the accountancy mantle once more and share his knowledge and experience of accountancy , finance and business management to other small business owners.
Having spoken with business owners and listened to horror stories of accountants not providing much help, or charging huge fees for very little work, Harquist Business Solutions was born with the sole purpose of helping you, as a business owner, to understand your obligations, help you manage your business and take away the headache of statutory accounts and tax returns.
